Summer Camp

This SUMMER CAMP brochure includes short and week-long sessions, and adventure trips.

All sites are open to all girls, members or non-members, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin or disability.

The fun and friendship of camp comes hand-in-hand with a tremendous opportunity for growth and enrichment. Parents, campers, and camp staff report growth in such areas as self-confidence, learning new skills, getting along with others, making friends, and making healthy decisions.

Types of CampDefinition/Description Skills Needed
3 & 4 DAY SESSIONS Girls go to camp and stay over for the entire session sleeping in cabins or platform tents. has spent 1 - 2 nights away from home, like slumber parties or troop camping
5, 6, 7 & 8 DAY SESSIONS Girls go to camp and stay over for the entire session, sleeping in platform tents or cabins. has spent several nights away from home and family, like slumber parties or troop camping
ADVENTURE TRIPS Girls spend some time at camp and/or traveling. Activities can include rock climbing, canoeing, bicycling, backpacking, horseback riding. has spent several nights away from home in a tent; is eager for new and challenging experiences
CIT I, CIT II CIT stands for Counselor In Training. Girls live at camp for several weeks, practicing leadership skills, learning about the job of camp counselor, and participating in camp activities. has exhibited leadership skills and is eager for new challenges
